In this article we ask THERA Nordic co-founder and renowned supplement formulator, Joni Laiho, some of the most commonly asked questions about our flagship gut health product, REZCUE
Are there scientific studies that show the benefits of taking Zinc Carnosine?
Yes, it has been extensively researched in dozens of scientific studies, including several human clinical studies.
Are there any known side effects of taking REZCUE?
As with any zinc-based supplement it is possible that taking too much could lead to copper deficiency, which can lead to anaemia. This effect is reversed when the zinc intake is stopped. In very rare causes L-Glutamine has been known to cause mild side effects including nausea, dizziness and stomach pain. If you encounter these whilst using REZCUE, try using a smaller dose and taking it with meals.
Can I take REZCUE alongside other medication I am using?
You will need to consult your doctor as it is possible that Zinc and Glutamine may have contradicting effects with your medication.
Can I take other zinc supplements while using REZCUE?
Yes, you can. The daily recommended dose of REZCUE contains 16mg of zinc, which is 106% of an average adults recommended daily allowance (RDA). However, the National Institute of Health considers 40mg of zinc a day to be the upper limit dose for adults.
Can I use REZCUE continuously or do I need to have breaks between doses?
The product can be consumed very safely on a continual basis. However, many people find after one or two jars that they no longer need to take it.
Can REZCUE be mixed with hot water?
Yes, the supplement works well when mixed with hot water. However, we would recommend that you avoid mixing it with water that has just boiled.
Can I use REZCUE while pregnant or when breastfeeding?
Since there have been no scientific studies carried out to provide data on either the benefits or any harmful effects of Zinc Carnosine on pregnancy or breast feeding we recommend that you consult your practitioner for advice before you start.
Can I give REZCUE to my children?
Although there could be benefits, we recommend that you consult a qualified healthcare professional before administering any supplements to children.
Can I give REZCUE to my pets?
Yes, both Zinc Carnosine and Glutamine are safe for dogs, cats and horses. However, we would recommend that you consult your vet before giving any supplements to your pets, and to check the recommended daily allowances of zinc for your pet.
